How does studying at the branch take place?
First of all, it should be noted that bachelor's degree studies can be conditionally divided into two stages. During the first 1–2 years, students study at general departments and take general subjects such as Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Mathematics, and others. During the final 3–4 years, students mainly interact with their specialized department and focus on professional and specialized courses related to their field of study.
Where do students complete their internships?
Practical training is carried out at industrial enterprises in the chemical, oil and gas, food, pharmaceutical, construction, and energy sectors of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Is it possible to enroll on a state-funded scholarship (grant)?
Yes. According to Resolution No. PP-4352 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 7, 2019, “On the Establishment of the Tashkent Branch of the D.I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology,” the Branch is financed through funds from the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These funds are allocated to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan to support students studying under state grants. However, the number of students admitted on state-funded grants may not exceed 40% of the total number of students admitted to the Branch.
Where can graduates work after graduating from the RCTU branch?
Chemical engineers and technologists are in demand in the oil refining, pharmaceutical, food, and metallurgical industries, as well as in the production of cosmetics, construction, and finishing materials. Graduates can also work in research institutes and laboratories or pursue a career in teaching.
How are the branch laboratories equipped?
The Branch is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory stands, instruments, and equipment for both educational purposes and scientific research. Moreover, the equipment base continues to expand as the Branch develops and introduces new academic programs and fields of study.
